Men's Cross Country Finishes Eighth at Paul Short Invite

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Daniel DeCrescenzo (New Milford, Conn.) finished seventh overall to pace the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team to an eighth-place finish at the 46-team Paul Short Invitational Friday on the campus of Lehigh University.
The Wildcats totaled 342 points in the College Brown 8-k race, while Iona College placed first in the division with 125 points.
DeCrescenzo crossed the finish line in a time of 25:52, while graduate student Andrew Dionne (Westerly, R.I.) placed 38th overall in a time of 26:25.
Junior Cory Sinotte (Hooksett, N.H.) and sophomore Joseph Jourdain (Hudson, N.H.) placed 76th and 95th, respectively, in times of 26:52 and 26:58.
Senior Alexander Beaulieu (Merrimack, N.H.) placed 126th at 27:12, while junior Patrick Taft (Hanson, Mass.) and Louis Saviano (Hampstead, N.H.) placed 145th and 220th, respectively, at 27:23 and 28:07 to round out the Wildcat finishers.
The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 when they take part in the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
