MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES FOURTH AT NEW ENGLANDS

BOSTON - Senior Josh Kearns (Ridgefield, Conn.) placed 11th overall to lead the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the 47-team New England Championships at Franklin Park on Saturday.
The Wildcats, the highest America East finisher, totaled 181 points, trailing UMass-Lowell (93), UMass-Amherst (116) and Providence (171).
Kearns ran the course in a time of 24 minutes, 59 seconds.
Senior Wesley Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) finished 18th in the 320-runner field in a time of 25:13. Graduate student Ben Jenkins (Francestown, N.H.) placed 37th, crossing the finish line at 25:32.
Senior Marc Ouellette (Hopkinton, N.H.) was 52nd in 25:45, while sophomore Dan Decrescenzo (New Milford, Conn.) rounded out the Wildcat scorers by finishing 63rd in a time of 25:51.
The 'Cats return to action Saturday, Oct. 31 at the America East Championships on the campus of Vermont.
