Junior forward Clarence Daniels (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) averaged 22.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.0 assists in 40.0 minutes per game in two road non-conference games last week. He made 50 percent of his field goal attempts (18 of 36) and that included 5 of 10 shooting from 3-point range. He was honored as Player of the Week by America East on Monday (Dec. 12).
Clarence notched a career and game-high 34 points for the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team in a 74-71 overtime victory at ACC foe Boston College on Dec. 6 in non-conference play from Conte Forum. He registered 21 points on 9-for-12 shooting with six rebounds in the first half. The first-year Wildcat finished the game shooting 13-for-19 from the field which included 4-for-5 from the three-point arc, with 14 rebounds in playing all 45 minutes. Following that game, he posted a total of 50 rebounds in a three-game span (16.7 rpg).
Clarence also added 11 points and 11 rebounds for his team-leading sixth double-double of the season in the Dec. 10 game at St. John's.
UNH returns to action Monday, December 19 against College of the Holy Cross. Game time from Lundholm Gymnasium on ESPN+ is 7 p.m.
