Nick Guadarrama, a senior forward on the UNH men's basketball team, led the Wildcats to a 1-1 record last week with averages of 25.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game; his other stats included shooting 53.1% from the floor, including 66.7% from 3-point range, and 72.7% from the foul line.
Nick lifted UNH to a 64-62 victory against UAlbany at Lundholm Gym on Jan. 8 by scoring a season-high 32 points (two less than his career high of 34 points). He was nearly unstoppable in the first half, as he scored 23 points on 8-for-9 shooting from the floor that included 5 of 6 from 3-point range. Nick's final numbers of 11-for-16 from the floor and 5 of 7 on 3's matched his personal bests in both field goals made and 3-pointers made.
Two days earlier, Nick tied for the team lead with 18 points on the strength of 3-for-5 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc, and he pulled down five rebounds in 36 minutes, 47 seconds of action at Vermont. The 18 points marked a season high at the time, but he surpassed that in the next game vs. UAlbany.
UNH returns to action Wednesday, Jan. 12 for a Border Battle, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, against the University of Maine. Game time at Lundholm Gym is 7 p.m. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.
