Caroline Soucy, a junior from Beverly, Massachusetts, scored eight points and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds in the UNH women’s basketball team’s home loss to Princeton University on Dec. 29. The 5-foot-9 guard was also credited with one assist and one steal against the Tigers.
Caroline had a strong first half vs. Princeton with five points and six rebounds, including five off the defensive glass. She also tallied her assist and steal before halftime.
Caroline had a career day Dec. 9 against College of the Holy Cross when she recorded her first ever double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, both of which marked personal bests.
This season, in 13 games played (12 starts), Caroline is averaging 8.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. She is third on the team in rebounding and fourth in both scoring and minutes (29.5 per game).
The UNH women’s basketball team returns to action Jan. 2 (7 p.m.) at Maine; the game can bee seen on ESPN+. The Wildcats play host to Binghamton University on Jan. 5 (1 p.m.); that game is on ESPN3.
