DURHAM, N.H. - University of New Hampshire head volleyball coach Jill Hirschinger has announced that Emmy Blouin (St. Albert, Alberta), Jeanne Czipri (Aurora, Ill.) and Annie Rueb (East Providence, R.I.) have committed to attend the University of New Hampshire in the fall of 2003.

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team held its annual awards banquet on Saturday, April 26 in the Oak Room of the Huddleston dining hall. Juniors Anne Davis (Groveland, Ill.) and Sasha Scott (North Branford, Conn.) were named co-captains for the 2003 season, while senior outside hitter Lauren Knight (Centerville, Mass.) was recognized as the Most Valuable Player for the 2002 season.




STORRS, Conn. - The University of New Hampshire volleyball team competed in its second tournament of the spring season and defeated host University of Connecticut in the championship game, 2-1, on Saturday, April 19th in Storrs, Conn. The game scores were 30-32, 30-24, 15-11.




DURHAM, N.H. — Junior outside hitter Alyson Coler (Monte Sereno, Calif.) of the University of New Hampshire volleyball team was named a Division I Northeast All-Region team selection as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Wednesday, Dec. 11.




The 10th-ranked University of Minesota Golden Gopher volleyball team (31-5) advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championships with a 3-1 win by scores of 30-18, 28-30, 30-17 and 30-21 over New Hampshire (23-11) at the Sports Pavilion on Thursday evening. Minnesota will play No. 17 Georgia Tech, who defeated Florida A&M in the earlier game by scores of 30-21, 30-27 and 30-17 to advance to play the Golden Gophers in the second round on Friday, Dec 6 at 6:30 p.m.




DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team will face No. 9 ranked University of Minnesota in the Pacific region in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 5 in Minneapolis, Minn. The announcement was made Sunday night by the NCAA volleyball selection committee on ESPNEWS.




DURHAM, N.H.- University of New Hampshire (23-10) won their first America East Volleyball Championship since 1998 with a 3-1 victory over Stony Brook University (22-13) today at Lundholm Gymnasium in Durham, N.H. Championship Most Outstanding Player Lauren Knight tallied a match-high 16 kills to lead the Wildcats to their second NCAA appearance.

VESTAL, N.Y. - The University of New Hampshire volleyball team won its ninth straight match Friday evening by downing Binghamton University 3-0 in America East action. The game scores were 30-28, 30-14, 30-21. The Wildcats improve to 19-10 overall and 9-1 in conference play, while the Bearcats are now 8-18 overall and 2-7 in the league.

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of New Hampshire volleyball team extended its winning streak to eight games after defeating the University of Hartford 3-0 at the Sports Center Saturday evening. The game scores were 30-24, 30-25, 30-26. UNH maintained its hold on first place in America East with an 8-1 league mark and 18-10 overall record, while the Hawks fell to 13-13 (3-6 America East).

ORONO, MAINE (10/18/02) - The University of Maine women's volleyball team (6-16, 0-3 America East) lost a tough, America East conference battle, 3-1 (30-26, 30-23, 26-30, 30-25) to New Hampshire (10-13, 3-1 America East) on Friday, Oct. 18, in Orono, Maine. "The Pit" in Memorial Gym was deafening as the Black Bears recorded 578 in attendance, one of the biggest crowds in the program's history. New Hampshire was 10th in the Northeast Regional Poll entering the match.

BOSTON — The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team was defeated by Harvard University, 3-2 on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the Malkin Athletic Center. The game scores were 26-30, 30-16, 22-30, 30-27, 12-15.




PHILADELPHIA — The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team split two matches at the Temple Tournament on Friday, Sept. 13 at McGonigle Hall. In the first match of the day, the 'Cats defeated West Virginia University, 3-0, and in the late match, UNH fell to Rutgers University, 1-3. The game scores in the WVU match were 30-27, 30-20, 30-28 and in the Rutgers match, 30-23, 28-30, 27-30, 18-30.




DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire athletic department has announced that the women's volleyball match on Sept. 21 vs. North Carolina State at 12:30p.m. has been selected as the third annual "Pack the Arena Day".




FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team went 1-1 in its final two matches of the Fairfield Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 7. In the first match, the 'Cats defeated host Fairfield, 3-2 and in the late match the Wildcats fell to Seton Hall, 0-3. The game scores were (Fairfield) 22-30, 30-19, 30-27, 30-32, 15-7 and (Seton Hall) 27-30, 20-30, 24-30.




FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team lost in straight games, 0-3 to No. 15 ranked Penn State University on Friday at Alumni Hall on the campus of host Fairfield University. The game scores were 22-30, 18-30 and 20-30.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team dropped to 0-2 on the year with a 0-3 loss to No. 12 ranked University of the Pacific on Saturday, Aug. 31 in its second match of the Utah Classic at Crimson Court. The game scores were 17-30, 24-30 and 26-30. The Wildcats' first two matches of the season have come against top 25 opponents.




SALT LAKE CITY — The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team lost 0-3 to No. 13 ranked University of Utah on Friday, Aug. 30 at the Utah Classic in Salt Lake City. The game scores were 26-30, 24-30 and 23-30. With the loss in the season opener UNH drops to 0-1 on the season.




BOSTON — The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team was picked first in the America East conference coaches poll on Thursday, Aug. 29.
