Wildcats start conference play at UAlbany on Sept. 26

PORTLAND, Ore. – Isaac Emojong and David Ajagbe each scored for the Pilots as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team fell to Portland, 2-0, on Saturday evening at Merlo Field in non-conference action.

The Wildcats fall to 5-2-1 overall, while the Pilots improve to 2-3-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Wildcats took the first shot on goal of the game in the fourth minute when graduate student Miguel Soto Gonzalez (Villanueva de la Cañada, Spain) fired a shot from 20 yards out that was saved by Miguel-Angel Hernandez.
The Pilots captured a 1-0 lead when Emojong sent a one-timer from 15 yards out to the bottom left corner of the net in the 34th minute (33:44).
Portland extended its advantage to 2-0 in the 62nd minute (61:10) when Ajagbe scored from six yards out to the upper left corner.
The Wildcats were unable to find the back of the net for the 2-0 final.

Portland held a 15-8 advantage in total shots.
The Pilots posted eight shots on goal, while the Wildcats tallied three.
Portland secured a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.
