Carrie Kimball is the Associate Athletic Director for Operations. She has been working as part of the UNH event management staff for nearly 20 years. She is responsible for the management and administration of several athletic contests including basketball, cross country, football, gymnastics, soccer, track and field and volleyball. Other duties include special event logistics, season and practice scheduling and facility rentals.
Kimball is a five-time recipient of the NCAA Gymnastics Northeast Regional Administrator of the Year award (2003-05-14-17-19) and is a two-time East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Administrator of the Year (2014-19).
In 2019, Kimball garnered the award after her efforts as meet director for the EAGL Championship at the Whittemore Center and her service on the NCAA Division I Women's Gymnastics Committee. The former chair of the committee was instrumental in the Wildcats' hosting a regular season quad meet at the Whitt on Jan. 18, which prepared them to win their third EAGL title two months later. Kimball additionally helped UNH maintain its position as host site of a 2021 NCAA Regional Championship after the NCAA reduced the number of sites from six to four beginning this season.
During her tenure at UNH, Kimball has helped manage several NCAA events including the 2005 Women’s Frozen Four, 2005 NCAA Northeast Gymnastics Regional, NCAA football playoffs (2005-17) and the 2004, 2007, 2009, 2011 NCAA Northeast Men’s Hockey Regional. She has also overseen several America East and EAGL gymnastics conference playoffs and championships.
Prior to UNH, Kimball spent four years as the Assistant Track and Field Coach at the University of Rhode Island. While at URI, she was responsible for coaching the throwers, recruiting and other various administrative duties.
Kimball has both a Master’s Degree in Sports Studies and Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy from the University of New Hampshire. She was a letterwinner in both the women’s basketball and women’s track and field programs at UNH from 1992-96.
Kimball was the conference champion in the javelin in 1993, 1994 and 1995 as well as the runner up in 1996. She also was the javelin ECAC champion in 1993 and New England Champion in 1994 and 1996. As a discus thrower, she also earned both All Conference and All New England honors.
As a member of the women’s basketball team, she was named to the All-Conference Rookie Team in 1993. During her career at UNH, Kimball was named to the All-Conference All-Academic Team in 1994, 1995, and 1996.
