DURHAM, N.H.--Three University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey players were named to the New England Hockey Writers Association Women's Division I All-Star Team Tuesday. Seniors Carisa Zaban (Glenview, Ill.), Samantha Holmes (Mississauga, Ont.) and Kerry Maher (Chittenango, N.Y.) were part of the 12 member team.

PRINCETON, N.J. - In the 17 years that Princeton and New Hampshire have been facing off in women's ice hockey, Princeton has come out of top only twice. That was before tonight. With the help of Nikola Holmes' (Fr., Apple Valley, Minn.) two goals and Abbey Fox's (Jr., Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) three assists, Princeton (9-7-4 overall; 7-6-2 ECAC) tallied its third win in 35 tries against a New Hampshire (18-7-0, 11-5-0 ECAC), who came into tonight's game ranked second in the country.

Minnesota trailed by two goals less than six minutes into the game but a 31 save effort by Crystal Nicholas kept the Gophers in the game, and third-period goals by Laura Slominski and Nadine Muzerall enabled them to claim a 5-4 victory and a sweep of their two-game series against New Hampshire.




Nadine Muzerall recorded her fourth consecutive hat trick, collecting four goals in all, as sixth-ranked Minnesota, 18-5-0, handed third-ranked New Hampshire, 16-5-0, a 6-2 loss.




St. Cloud, Minn. - - The St. Cloud State women’s hockey team fell to the University of New Hampshire on Thursday, January 27, by a score of 5-1. New Hampshire, who entered the game ranked fourth in the nation, moves to 16-4-0 overall, and remains 11-4-0 in the always competitive ECAC. The Huskies fall to 7-13-2 overall, and remain 2-10-2 in the WCHA.




Newton, Mass. — The University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team had six different players find the back of the net as the Wildcats shut out the Boston College Eagles 9-0 Sunday afternoon at Kelley Rink. The Wildcats improve to 15-4-0 overall and 11-4-0 in the ECAC. Boston College falls to 5-12-1 overall and 1-12-1 in conference play.




HANOVER, NH — The University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team was shutout for the first time this season at the hands of DartmouthCollege 4-0 Saturday afternoon at Thompson Arena. The Wildcats fall to 14-4-0 overall and 10-4-0 in conference play.

The Wildcats improve to 12-3-0 overall and 8-3-0 in the ECAC Conference. Cornell falls to 4-8-1 overall and 4-8-1 in conference action.




Canton, N.Y. — St. Lawrence University ended the University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team's five game win streak as the Saints edged the Wildcats 2-1 Friday night. The Wildcats fall to 11-3-0 overall and 7-3-0 in the ECAC Conference. St. Lawrence improves to 11-4-0 overall and 6-4-0 in conference action.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo — The University of New Hampshire posted two victories, and took advantage of a misstep by Harvard University to move past the Crimson and claim the No. 1 spot in the American Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll. A unanimous first-place selection in the poll, New Hampshire routed Yale University, 7-0, before defeating No.9 Princeton University, 5-3.
