Brian Scott enters his first season as Co-Offensive Coordinator for the Wildcats. Scott will be responsible for game-planning with an emphasis on the Wildcats’ running game.

Scott’s most recent stop was at Towson, as the team's offensive line coach and run game coordinator. Prior to Towson, he spent the last 13 seasons at Old Dominion, serving as the team's offensive coordinator each year. He was the associate head coach from 2012-19 and the offensive line coach from 2007-11.

In his time with the Monarchs, he helped Old Dominion transition from FCS to FBS into Conference USA, leading a team that was consistently one of the top offenses in college football. During his tenure, 20 Monarchs on offense earned all-conference recognition plus the team won its first game over a Power Five program, a 49-35 victory over then-#10 Virginia Tech, and its first bowl game, the 2016 Bahamas Bowl, after being the co-champion of the East Division of Conference USA.

One of his wide receivers at ODU, Travis Fulgham, was a sixth-round draft pick by the Detroit Lions in 2019 after finishing with 1,083 receiving yards to lead the league in 2018. He also coached the first 1,000-yard rusher in ODU history, Ray Lawry, who performed the feat twice in 2015 and 2016, and quarterback Taylor Heinicke, the 2012 Walter Payton Award recipient for top player in FCS and a top-10 finisher in FBS in passing yards and touchdowns in 2014.

He was a 2009 and 2012 FootballScoop.com Coordinator of the Year, helping quarterback Taylor Heinicke be the Walter Payton Award winner for top player in FCS. In 2016, he was a finalist for the Broyles Award for top assistant in college football.

Previous to ODU, Scott spent three seasons at his alma mater, the University of Maine, as the recruiting coordinator as well as working with the offensive line, running backs and tight ends.

He worked at the University of Tennessee-Martin in 2003, working with the wide receivers, tight ends and the special teams unit.

Scott's first job as a college coach was in 2002 as the quarterbacks coach at UMass Lowell. That year, the River Hawks set new school single-season records for completions and passing yards.

From 2000-01, Scott was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Cony High School in Maine, helping the team reach the Class A state playoffs for the first time in 10 years.

Scott graduated from the University of Maine in 2000 with a degree in communications. He is a recipient of the Maine Sports Hall of Fame Special Achievement Award.
