Mullin Nominated for AAI Award, EAGL Gymnast, EAGL Senior Gymnast of Year

Senior was named All-EAGL First Team on uneven bars, floor exercise and all-around
JEFFERSON, Iowa & WEIRTON, W.Va. – UNH senior gymnast Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.) has earned national and conference recognition following an outstanding regular season, as she was named a nominee for the 2026 NCAA Women's Gymnastics AAI Award and selected as a finalist for both the Eastern Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Senior of the Year and EAGL Gymnast of the Year awards, which will be announced following Saturday's EAGL Championship meet, hosted by LIU.
The AAI Award, presented annually by American Athletic Inc., is one of the most prestigious honors in women's collegiate gymnastics, recognizing senior student-athletes who excel in athletic performance, academics, leadership and character. Mullin was one of a select group of 45 seniors nationwide nominated for the 2026 award. The seven finalists were announced earlier today.
In addition to her national recognition, Mullin is a finalist for two of EAGL's top individual honors. She is under consideration for EAGL Senior Gymnast of the Year and EAGL Gymnast of the Year after an impressive 2026 season in which she emerged as one of the league's most consistent and versatile all-around competitors.
The Hamden, Conn., native posted a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 39.155 in the all-around and recorded a season high of 39.225. She earned multiple first-place finishes during the season, including five all-around victories, while also collecting wins on vault, bars and floor. Mullin finished the regular season ranked among the EAGL's top performers and was named EAGL Gymnast of the Week three times.
Mullin's résumé includes 2026 All-EAGL First Team honors on bars, floor and all-around, along with Second Team recognition on vault and beam. She is also a four-time EAGL All-Scholastic Team selection and a three-time WCGA Scholastic All-America honoree, with a fourth recognition expected this summer.
EAGL annual award winners will be announced following the 2026 EAGL Championship, hosted by LIU, this Saturday, March 21, at the Pratt Recreation Center in Brookville, N.Y.
