Mullin placed first in bars, floor exercise and all-around
DURHAM, N.H. – Senior Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.) scored a career-high 9.850 on bars and a 9.900 on floor exercise to finish first in both those events as well earned first in the all-around (39.100) to help lead the UNH gymnastics team to win the Stick it for the Cure meet in Lundholm Gymnasium.

UNH (8-2, 2-0 EAGL) began the meet on vault with junior Gwen Ockerbloom (Granby, Conn.) clenching first place and a new career best of 9.850; that score helped her earn the team's Katie Baldwin Expression Award for the meet. Junior Mady Harvey (Freeland, Mich.) earned a new career-high and tied for second place (9.825) with Temple's Jaden Harden. UNH also recorded its highest vault score of the season with a 48.925.
On bars, the team started off slowly but was able to get back into the rhythm with Mullin earning the top spot. Junior Zoe Arthur (El Segundo, Calif.) earned second place (9.775) just edging out Temple's Mariella Brueck and Robyn Dunne.
In the third rotation, Harvey shared the top spot with Temple's Nikki Rengifo (9.850); making this her fourth consecutive win on beam this season. Mullin clenched the third place spot by scoring a 9.800.
With Mullin calming the top spot on floor exercise, junior captain McCall McMullen (Athens, Ga.) helped the wildcats to their victory with a second place finish (9.875). There was also a three-way tie for third place (9.850) between Ockerbloom and junior Poulina Minaev (Smithtown, N.Y) and Temple's Amelia Budd.
Mullin was able to also earn first place in the all-around with a 39.100; making this her second highest score of the season for all-around.
