Ockerbloom, Mullin Lead 'Cats to Runner-Up Finish at Maryland Quad Meet

Wildcats total 194.500 to defeat GWU, LIU; place second to host Terrapins
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The UNH women's gymnastics team recorded two head-to-head victories Friday night while finishing second overall in a quad meet hosted by Maryland. The Wildcats (2-1) topped George Washington and LIU, while host Maryland claimed the team title at the XFINITY Center.
Balance Beam
•Junior Gwen Ockerbloom (Granby, Conn.) led the Wildcats on beam, placing third overall with a 9.825. Sophomore Mady Harvey (Freeland, Mich.) followed closely with a 9.775, good for fourth, while freshman Amelia Lannon (Sutton, Mass.) rounded out UNH's top three with a 9.725 (eighth).
•The event was won in a tie by Deana Sheremeta (GW) and Madeline Komoroski (Maryland), each posting a 9.850.
Floor Exercise
•UNH was paced by senior Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.), who delivered a team‑best 9.825 to finish third overall. Junior Poulina Minaev (Smithtown, N.Y.) followed with a 9.800 (fifth), and sophomore Peyton Novinger (Hershey, Pa.) added a 9.750 to place 11th.
•Maryland claimed the floor title with a tie between Emily DeFrees and Madeline Komoroski, both scoring 9.850.
Vault
•Ockerbloom highlighted UNH's vault rotation with a 9.775, earning sixth place overall. Senior captain Leah Moreno (Cary, N.C.) and Lannon tied for second among Wildcats with matching 9.700s, each finishing 11th.
•The vault title went to Alison Mun (GW) with a 9.875.
Uneven Bars
•The Wildcats posted two of the evening's top routines on bars, as Mullin and junior Zoe Arthur (El Segundo, Calif.) tied for third place overall with scores of 9.800. Moreno followed as UNH's third‑best finisher, earning a 9.750 to place ninth.
•Gianna Ruffing (Maryland) won the event with a 9.850.
All‑Around
•Sheremeta captured the all‑around title with a 39.025. For UNH, Mullin tied for third with a total of 38.875, while Minaev finished fifth at 38.675.
