Senior recorded league’s top all-around score (39.025) of the week in quad meet win
WEIRTON, W. Va. – UNH senior gymnast Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.) was named the EAGL Gymnast of the Week for Week 3, the East Atlantic Gymnastics League announced Wednesday. Mullin was feted for her all-around performance that contributed to the Wildcats' season-high 195.275 in a quad meet victory against Air Force (193.950), Iowa State (192.900) and Bridgeport (191.800) on Jan. 18 in the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex.
Mullin posted two Top-5 results, highlighted by a second-place tie on uneven bars (9.800) and a fifth-place tying 9.850 on floor exercise to lead UNH (5-1, 0-0 EAGL). The Hamden, Conn., native tallied a 9.725 on vault (T-10th) and a 9.650 on balance beam (T-8th) for a 39.025 all-around score, which was EAGL's highest of the week.
Mullin currently ranks No. 2 in the conference in all-around (38.950 avg.) and on bars (9.800), and she is No. 3 on floor (9.850). This is her third career EAGL Gymnast of the Week award; she previously garnered the honor Jan. 29, 2025, and shared the award Feb. 19, 2025. As a sophomore, Mullin was tabbed EAGL co-Specialist of the Week on Jan. 17, 2024.
