Challman named Specialist of Week, and Reade garnered Rookie of Week award
WEIRTON, W. Va. – UNH sophomore gymnast Anne Challman (Lewisburg, Pa.) was named EAGL Specialist of the Week, and freshman gymnast Aine Reade (Merrimac, Mass.) was honored as EAGL Rookie of the Week in Week 6 voting announced Wednesday by the East Atlantic Gymnastics League.
In last Sunday's tri-meet victory against Yale and Brown at Lundholm Gym, Challman tied the fourth-highest floor exercise score in school history with a personal-best 9.950 to top the podium. The Lewisburg, Pa., native headlined UNH's team floor score of 49.400, which was the Wildcats' highest in that event since they established a program-record 49.475 on Feb. 8, 2015. The 9.950 represents the highest floor score by any EAGL gymnast in 2025 and moved Challman to No. 3 in the individual conference rankings (9.839 AVG). The three-time EAGL Specialist of the Week tallied another podium placement by tying for third place on balance beam (9.750).
Reade established a personal best on floor (9.900) to tie for second place as part of UNH's top floor performance of the season. In her last four meets, the Merrimac, Mass., native's floor scores have been 9.850, 9.850, 9.875 and 9.900 to solidify her ranking as the No. 1 floor performer in EAGL (9.850 AVG). The five-time conference Rookie of the Week also earned a podium finish on vault (T-3rd), where she matched the second-highest score of her career (9.750), and in all-around (38.275, second place).
