Connor Sweeney scored his first collegiate goal
DURHAM, N.H. – Senior forward Connor Sweeney (North Andover, Mass.), sophomore forward Nick Ring (Hingham, Mass.) and senior forward Robert Cronin (Plymouth, Mass.) each recorded a goal but the No. 18 University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to No. 11 Boston University, 6-3, on Friday night at the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex in Hockey East action in a top-20 matchup.
The Wildcats fall to 10-7-3 (2-6-2 Hockey East), while the Terriers improve to 12-7-1 (8-3-1 Hockey East).

How It Happened
- At 1:15 of the first period Devlin Kaplin landed a goal stick side to give BU an early lead.
- The 'Cats made it 1-1 at 6:22 of the first period as senior defenseman Colton Huard (Foothill Ranch, Calif.) sent a shot that Sweeney then tipped into the net. Senior defenseman Luis Lindner (Spittal an der Drau, Austria) also tallied an assist on the goal.

- At 8:48 of the first period, BU took the 2-1 lead as Ryan Greene netted a goal stick side.
- The Terriers made it 3-1 at 8:28 of the second period, when Quinn Hutson posted a power play goal glove side.
- At 11:53 of the second period, UNH cut the deficit to 3-2 as Ring fired a one-timer from just outside the crease for a power play goal. Sophomore forward Marty Lavins (Riga, Latvia) and sophomore forward Jason Siedem (Madison, N.J.) recorded an assist.

- The Wildcats evened the score at 18:53 when Cronin knocked in a loose puck glove side making it a 3-3 game. Sophomore forward J.P. Turner (East Falmouth, Mass.) and senior defenseman Luke Reid (Warman, Saskatchewan) and each tallied an assist.

- The Terriers took a 4-3 lead at 5:40 as Greene scored his second goal of the night.
- BU increased the lead to 5-3 at 12:51 as Jack Hughes secured a glove side goal.
- At 16:11 the Terriers netted the last goal of the game for the 6-3 final when Cole Hutson recorded an unassisted goal on the power play.
