New Hampshire Falls 1-0 to Stony Brook on Senior Day

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's soccer team fell 1-0 against Stony Brook in Sunday's Senior Day game at Wildcat Stadium.
Redshirt junior captain Sally Rainey (West Lebanon, N.H.), the reigning America East Defensive Player of the Week, made three saves.
Kristina Garcia (Great Neck, N.Y.) scored the game's only goal in the 77th minute, volleying home a cross from a corner kick.
Stony Brook goalkeeper Nicolette Pasquarella made four saves.
The Wildcats drop to 5-2-1 on the season, while the Seawolves improve to 5-2-1.

- Rainey came up with a big save in the 72nd minute to keep things knotted at 0-0.
- In the 77th minute, the Seawolves won a corner kick. Aneta Sovakova (Hradec Kralove, CZEC) sent in a cross, and Garcia volleyed into the back of the net.
- Maddie Kolb (Tolland, Conn.) got a shot on target for the Wildcats following a corner kick, but once again, Pasquarella was there to make the save
- New Hampshire has held opponents to zero or one goal in seven of their eight games this season, outscoring opponents 12-5 over this stretch.
- Stony Brook recorded a 12-11 shot advantage, with each team recording four shots on goal.
- The Seawolves had a 9-4 edge in corner kicks.
- The Wildcats now have an 11-13- 4 lifetime record vs Stony Brook.
