
UNH Men’s Cross Country Takes Second Place in Vermont Invite

Two Wildcats Place Top Five
St. Albans, VT. – Junior John Murphy (Deerfield, N.H..) led the Wildcats with a 2nd-place finish out of 55 as the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team competed in the Vermont Invite 8K race. The team finished in second place (48 points) in the Hard'Ack Recreation Area. Vermont (23 points) finished in first place, while UMass Lowell (75 points) was third and Maine (88 points) was fourth.
RESULTS
"We had a great season opener for women's cross country in Vermont today," Director of Cross Country Anna Magle-Haberek said. "It was great to get to run on the conference course so we are prepared for November. We were very excited to have Coach Alison here for her first competition. Some athlete highlights were juniors John Murphy finishing second along with Zach Hooper finishing 5th and Sam Hilts finishing 11th."
