Northeastern graduate transfer to join the Wildcats.
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer program has announced the signing of graduate student forward/midfielder Fede Tellez (Miami, Fla.). Tellez is a graduate transfer from Northeastern.
"I had the pleasure of working with Fede over the last two seasons and am excited for him to join us in Durham," said head coach Rich Weinrebe. "He brings a training mentality that is infectious and has a great left foot. He will be a major asset for our attacking group."
Tellez was a four-year member of the Northeastern men's soccer team from 2020-2023 where he was a three-time All-CAA selection. In 2021 and 2023 he was named to the first team, while in 2022 he made the second team. Tellez totaled 11 goals and 27 assists for 49 career points.
As a senior, Tellez led the Huskies with 10 assists and 14 points, while he set a school record with 13 assists as a sophomore in 2022. He was also a two-time member of the CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Prior to his time at Northeastern, Tellez was a member of Inter Miami FC from 2019-2020 and was team captain for Weston FC from 2015-2019.
Previously announced additions to the 2024 Roster:
The Wildcats concluded the 2023 season with a 13-3-4 record and advanced to the Round of 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the third time in program history. UNH was the No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament which was the highest seed in program history. The Wildcats defeated defending national champions Syracuse, 3-0, in the second round and then fell to No. 9 seed and eventual national champions Clemson, 1-0, in the first-ever Round of 16 game played at Wildcat Stadium.
