Kimball Named WCGA Gymnastics Northeast Administrator of the Year

Wildcat senior associate athletic director garners award for eighth time
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – UNH Senior Associate Athletic Director, Internal Operations Carrie Kimball BS '96 MS '02 was named Wednesday the 2024 NCAA Northeast Regional Administrator of the Year by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).
This marks the eighth time Kimball has been tabbed for this honor; she was previously feted in 2003, 2005, 2014, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2022. A member of the Wildcat administrative staff for more than 20 years, Kimball is responsible for the management and administration of all Wildcat gymnastics home meets in Lundholm Gym and the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex.
Kimball, the former chair of the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Committee, was one of nine regional administrators nationally recognized by the WCGA, a membership-led, professional association representing the nation's intercollegiate women's gymnastics coaches within NCAA Division I, II & III.
A two-sport athlete (basketball, track & field) while at UNH, Kimball earned a bachelor's degree in Pedagogy (1996) and a master's degree in Kinesiology: Sport Studies (2002). Kimball was the conference champion in the javelin in 1993, 1994 and 1995 as well as the runner-up in 1996. She also was the javelin ECAC champion in 1993 and New England Champion in 1994 and 1996. As a discus thrower, she earned both All-Conference and All-New England honors. As a member of the women's basketball team, she was named to the All-Conference Rookie Team in 1993 and to the All-Academic Team in 1994, 1995, and 1996.

EAGL Gymnast of the Year Kylie Gorgenyi (North Reading, Mass.) will compete in the all-around as the 2024 NCAA Gainesville Regional Championship, hosted by the University of Florida, on Friday, April 5 (1 p.m., ESPN+) in the O'Connell Center. The top all-around gymnast from a non-advancing team will qualify for the NCAA National Championships (April 18-20) in Fort Worth, Texas.
