'Cats Secure Third-Place Finish at Commonwealth Invitational

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of New Hampshire women's track and field team traveled to UMass Amherst to compete in the Commonwealth Invitational. The Wildcats secured a third-place finish, scoring 73 points.

- Sophomore Makena Lee (Northwood, N.H.) placed first in the pole vault with a distance of 3.50m.
- Junior Olivia Chamberlain (Warnerville, N.Y.) took first in the triple jump with a distance of 11.31m.
- Freshman Ronnie Jones (Lowell, Mass.) came in second in the shot put where she threw for 12.83m.
- Freshman Briana Danis (Hooksett, N.H.) placed first in the discus throw with a distance of 44.21m.
- Senior Lily Doody (Lee, N.H.) finished first in the 3000m steeplechase recording a PR time of 11:42.92.
- Sophomore Jill Walker (Simi Valley, Calif.) took first in the 5000m run, clocking in a time of 18:15.10
- The 'Cats will return to action on Friday, April 19 when they will be competing at the George Davis Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell!
