'Cats Secure Third-Place Finish at Commonwealth Invitational

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of New Hampshire women's track and field team traveled to UMass Amherst to compete in the Commonwealth Invitational. The Wildcats secured a third-place finish, scoring 73 points.

Event Notebook

Sophomore Makena Lee (Northwood, N.H.) placed first in the pole vault with a distance of 3.50m.
Junior Olivia Chamberlain (Warnerville, N.Y.) took first in the triple jump with a distance of 11.31m.
Freshman Ronnie Jones (Lowell, Mass.) came in second in the shot put where she threw for 12.83m.
Freshman Briana Danis (Hooksett, N.H.) placed first in the discus throw with a distance of 44.21m.
Senior Lily Doody (Lee, N.H.) finished first in the 3000m steeplechase recording a PR time of 11:42.92.
Sophomore Jill Walker (Simi Valley, Calif.) took first in the 5000m run, clocking in a time of 18:15.10

The 'Cats will return to action on Friday, April 19 when they will be competing at the George Davis Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell!
