Wildcats Secure a Decisive Win Over River Hawks

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team led for the entire game for a win against the UMass Lowell River Hawks on Saturday, Feb.3 during spread respect and alumni day.
Diana Eliasson (Stockholm, Sweden) set a new career high for herself in points, scoring 12 in the game. Her previous career high was eight against UMBC in January 2024. Clara Gomez (Barcelona, Spain) also scored a career high in steals with six. Her previous career high was five against Northeastern in November 2023.

- UNH kept a strong lead with a 7-3 run lasting just under four minutes, included a 3-pointer from Paige Cote (Sanford, Maine) and driving layup from Clara Gomez off a steal.
- The 'Cats ended the quarter with the lead, up by five, with eight rebounds and five steals.

- UNH started the quarter with a 6-4 run lasting just over three minutes, lengthened the lead to nine points.
