LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The University of New Hampshire women's soccer team exploded past Siena on Thursday afternoon, 6-0 from Hickey Field.

Two Wildcats scored their first collegiate goals, one had their first career multi-point game, and two 'Cats combined for a shutout.

The Wildcats' record improves to 3-1 (0-0 AE) and Siena's falls to 0-4-1 (0-0 MAAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Junior forward Chloe DeLyser (Marion, N.Y.) gave the 'Cats a 1-0 lead in the 4^th minute (3:03). DeLyser picked up a rebound off a shot by junior midfield Meghan Guarente (Sewell, N.J.) and buried it.
Guarente extended the Wildcat led to 2-0 when she ripped a shot from outside the box to the top right corner of the goal in the 12^th minute (11:54). Sophomore forward Abbi Maier (Cincinnati, Ohio) notched an assist on the goal.
Senior back Ella Dudley (St. Augustine, Fla.) buried a shot to the bottom left corner of the net in the 60^th minute (59:19). Sophomore forward Elaina Grenz (River Edge, N.J.) fed Dudley a pass to notch an assist.
Maier rocketed a shot from the top of the box in the 66^th minute (65:15) to extend the Wildcat lead to 4-0. DeLyser lofted a pass to Maier to claim the assist.
Freshman forward Greta Caulton (Amherst, N.H.) followed Maier's goal with a missile to the top center of the net in the 71^st minute (70:54). Grad student forward Katie Oliver (Leesburg, V.a.) noted an assist.
Freshman forward Summer Haarala (Framingham, Mass.) bent a beautiful shot into the right side of the net in the 82^nd minute (81:34). Grenz posted her second assist of the game on the goal.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

The Wildcats outshot the Saints, 22-8 while UNH took 15 shots on goal and Siena had three.
Brooke Boermeester of Siena had eight saves and Maddie Finn had one while Rainey had three.
UNH took three corner kicks and Siena took none.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

DeLyser's goal marks her first point and first game winning goal as a Wildcat.
Caulton and Haarala both scored their first collegiate goals in the win.
This is Grenz's first career multi-point goal.
The last time UNH posted six goals in a game came last season when they defeated Bryant, 6-1 at Wildcat Stadium on Oct. 13, 2022.
The 'Cats defeated Binghamton, 6-0 on Sep. 27, 2015, making that contest the last time they defeated a team by six goals.
Freshman goalkeeper Sonja Zeepvat (Mendham, N.J.) saw her first minutes in net for the Wildcats when she took over for Rainey late in the second half.
