Wildcats Score 195.600 to Place Second at Maryland Quad Meet

Alyssas Beaulieu and Worthington lead Wildcats to a 195.600, wins vs Penn, Brown
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Senior Alyssa Worthington (West Warwick, R.I.) scored a season-high 9.925 to finish first on balance beam, and sophomore Alyssa Beaulieu (Holyoke, Mass.) posted career bests on uneven bars and all-around to power the UNH gymnastics team to a 195.600 and second place Sunday at the University of Maryland quad meet in XFINITY Center.
No. 25 Maryland won the meet with a 196.950, followed by UNH (15-7, 5-2 EAGL), Penn (195.100) and Brown (194.600).
Beaulieu tied for third place on bars (9.875) and was runner-up in all-around (39.150) to Maryland's Emma Silberman.

•Beaulieu headlined the bar lineup in the opening rotation and tied for third place with the Terrapins' Victoria Gatzendorfer. Senior Kylie Gorgenyi (North Reading, Mass.) scored a 9.825 for a share of fifth place, and the Wildcats totaled a 48.975. Maryland's Aleksa Tsikinas and Penn's Mccaleigh Marr tied for first place (9.900).
•Worthington headlined a team score of 48.750 on beam. Junior Sierra Bauman (Wallingford, Conn.) scored a 9.775 (13th place) and sophomore Summer Simpkins (Audubon, N.J.) chipped in with a 9.750 (T-14th).
•On floor, Gorgenyi led the Wildcats with a 9.900 for a share of second place. Maryland's Maddie Komoroski placed first with a 9.925. Senior co-captain Kenadi Brown (Las Vegas, Nev.) registered a 9.850 to tie for seventh, and sophomore Gracy Mowers (Middleton, Mass.) recorded a 9.825 (T-10th) for the Wildcats, who recorded a 49.175.
•The vault lineup amassed a 48.700. Gorgenyi was UNH's leader with a 9.775 (10th), followed by Beaulieu and senior co-captain Robyn Kelley (Wakefield, Mass.), who tied for 11th (9.750). Maryland's Alexsis Rubio placed first on vault with a 9.925.
