UNH Announces 2022-23 Women's Hockey Schedule

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's hockey team, led by ninth-year head coach Hilary Witt, has announced its 34-game schedule for the 2022-23 season with 27 Hockey East league games and a total of 17 home games at the Whittemore Center.

- UNH opens the season Sept. 23-24 with a two-game home series vs. Union College.
- The Wildcats play three non-league teams that advanced to last year's NCAA tournament, all on the road: quarterfinalist Quinnipiac University (Oct. 2); Harvard University (Nov. 26); and quarterfinalist University of Minnesota (Jan. 7).
- The Hockey East portion of the schedule begins Week 3 with a two-game series at the University of Maine (Oct. 7-8).
- The next six weekends are home-and-home series against Hockey East foes.
- UNH plays just two December games: Dec. 2-3 home versus UConn.
- The 2023 calendar year begins Jan. 2 with the inaugural meeting against St. Anselm College at the Whittemore Center.
- UNH faces off against a WCHA team for the first time since November 2014 when the 'Cats battle St. Cloud State on Jan. 6 (at Minnesota).
- The Wildcats last played Minnesota in November 2012.
- UNH begins a season-long four-game homestand Jan. 13 against the University of Maine.
- New Hampshire plays two home games vs. five Hockey East schools: Boston College, Boston University, UConn, Providence and Vermont
- Conversely, the 'Cats play two road games at College of the Holy Cross, Maine, Merrimack College and Northeastern University.
- 2022 NCAA Frozen Four team Northeastern makes its one trip to the Whitt on Nov. 4.
