Wildcat senior associate athletic director feted for seventh time
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – UNH senior associate athletic director, internal operations Carrie Kimball was named Thursday the 2022 NCAA Northeast Regional Administrator of the Year by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).
Kimball, the former chair of the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Committee, was previously honored as the NCAA Gymnastics Northeast Regional Administrator of the Year in 2003, 2005, 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2020. She was tabbed the EAGL Administrator of the Year in 2019, when UNH hosted and won the league championship at the Whittemore Center.
"Carrie is always working to make our meets run smoothly. She takes care of all our judging requests, travel and accommodations," UNH gymnastics head coach Lindsey Bruck Ayotte said. "In addition, she has provided the personnel to make all our events run professionally and implemented our video scoreboard to keep all coaches, fans and gymnasts up to date on every score. This also allows for great video production for pre-meet and special events."
Kimball, who graduated from UNH with a Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy in 1996 and a Master's Degree in Sport Studies in 2002, has been working as part of the Wildcat event management staff for nearly two decades. She is responsible for the management and administration of several athletic contests including gymnastics, basketball, cross country, football, gymnastics, soccer, track and field and volleyball. Other duties include special event logistics, season and practice scheduling, facility rentals and administration.
"Carrie spends more time at our athletic events and is driven to help in whatever manner she can," Bruck Ayotte added. "She understands what it takes to run an NCAA gymnastics meet at the highest level."
Kimball, a letter winner in both basketball and track & field as a Wildcat from 1992-96, was a site representative for the NCAA at the Norman Regional Championship hosted by the University of Oklahoma from March 31-April 2.
