Women’s Hockey Releases 2021-22 Schedule

Wildcats set to play 17 regular season games at home.

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's hockey team has released the 2021-22 schedule. The Wildcats will play a total of 34 regular season contests with 17 at home.

UNH kicks off the season at the Whittemore Center versus Boston University on Friday, Oct. 1. The Hockey East home schedule is also highlighted by matchups with rival Maine (Fri., Oct. 22), 2021 NCAA Tournament participants Boston College (Sat., Oct. 16 & Fri., Feb. 4) and Providence (Fri.-Sat., Jan. 7-8), and a contest versus 2021 NCAA runner-up Northeastern (Sat., Jan. 15). The regular season home-finale will be versus Holy Cross (Fri., Feb. 11).
The Wildcats will play seven non-conference games: at Franklin Pierce (Sat., Nov. 6), home versus Harvard (Tue., Nov. 23), at Union (Fri.-Sat., Nov. 26-27), versus Penn State (Thur.-Fri., Dec. 9-10) and at Dartmouth (Sun., Jan. 2).
For the first time ever, the Hockey East Tournament will feature all 10 member programs. Seeds seven and eight will host seeds 10 and nine, respectively, in the Opening Round on Wed., Feb. 23, while the top six seeds receive a bye into the Quarterfinals. After a reseeding, the top two seeds will host the winners of the Opening Round while the three seed will host the six seed and the four seed will host the five seed. Semifinals will take place on Fri, March 4 and the Championship is set for Sat., March 5.
