Men’s Cross Country Places Fifth at America East Championships

James Wilkes earns second team All-League honors with a 13th place finish.
GALLOWAY, N.J. - The University of New Hampshire men's cross country team placed fifth at the 2021 Spring America East Cross Country Championships on the 8K grass course at the Seaview Golf Club with 166 points.
Senior co-captain James Wilkes (Concord, N.H.) earned second team All-Conference accolades with a 13th place finish (25:13.20). This was Wilkes' second straight America East All-Conference recognition as he also was a second team honoree in 2019.
New Hampshire's scoring places were 13th, 37th, 42nd, 51st and 52nd for a team score of 166. Sophomore Aidan O'Hern (Concord, N.H.) was 37th overall with a time of 26:20.44, while senior co-captain Aidan Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) placed 37th with a time of 26:30.16. Junior Andrew LePage (Morrisonville, N.Y.) finished in 51st place (26:54.11) and graduate student Nicholas Brown (Conway, N.H.) posted a 52nd finish (26:57.34).
The meet was won overall by UMass Lowell's Kyle Cloutier finishing in 24:39.31. UMass Lowell took the team championship with a score of 22.
