DURHAM, N.H. – Graduate student Paul Mayer (Strasbourg, France) scored two goals as the No. 14 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team posted a 4-0 victory against previously undefeated Hartford on Friday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium in America East action. Mayer netted his second game-winning goal of the season in the 35th minute and scored his second goal of the game in the 87th minute.
Sophomore Bilal Kamal (London, England) scored his second goal of the year and senior Linus Fallberg (Jonkoping, Sweden) tallied his first of the season to secure the win against Hartford. Redshirt freshman Liam Bennett (Meredith, N.H.), freshmanDrew Blackwell (Wilmington, Del.) and freshmanAdi Hicks (Derry, N.H.) all had an assist for their first collegiate points.
The Wildcats improve to 4-0-1 (3-0-1 AE), while the Hawks fall to 2-1-0 (2-1-0 AE).
The Wildcats will return to action on Friday, April 2 when they take on UMass Lowell at Wildcat Stadium. The game will be broadcast on AmericaEast.TV.

The Wildcats took their first shot on goal in the 19th minute when junior Chris Pinkham (Concord, N.H.) fired a shot from the far-left side of the field towards the bottom left of the goal but it was saved by Rotem Fadida.
UNH scored its first goal to take the lead in the 35th minute (34:49) on a penalty kick to the bottom right corner of the goal by Mayer. Kamal was fouled in the box allowing for Mayer to take the penalty shot.
Just over six minutes later in the 41st minute Kamal found the top right corner of the net, extending UNH's lead over Hartford 2-0. The goal was assisted by Fallberg.

Graduate student Alejandro Robles (Monterey, Mexico) made his first save after a shot was taken by Hartford's Jordan Koduah in the 44th minute of the game.
The Wildcats posted three shots on goal by the end of the first half, while the Hawks had one.
In the 56th minute (57:05), Fallberg rocketed a shot to the top left corner and netted a goal from 30 yards out after a quick pass from Bennett to increase UNH's lead to 3-0.
The 'Cats were not done yet as Mayer netted another goal after his shot was deflected by Fadida with just under four minutes left in the game. Mayer's goal was assisted by Blackwell, and Hicks, making the final score 4-0.

New Hampshire outshot Hartford, 19-7, while the 'Cats posted eight shots on goal and the Hawks took two.
The 'Cats took seven corner kicks, while the Hawks took one.
Robles saved two shots for the 'Cats, while Fadida had four.

The Wildcats have outscored their opposition by a 12-4 margin this season.
