Gorgenyi, Kelley each earn three of the Wildcats’ nine ALL-EAGL First Team honors
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – Sophomores Robyn Kelley (Wakefield, Mass.) and Kylie Gorgenyi (North Reading, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team were each named All-EAGL First Team in three events to highlight six University of New Hampshire gymnasts feted for a combined 11 All-EAGL awards, the league announced Monday.

Kelley claimed All-EAGL First Team on vault, balance beam and floor exercise. The three-event specialist registered a 9.844 National Qualifying Score (NQS) on vault (T-No. 7 in EAGL), a 9.894 NQS on beam (T-No. 3) and a 9.900 NQS (No. 2) on floor. The Wakefield, Mass., native has averaged a 9.890 on floor in her last four meets, highlighted by a career-high 9.925 in Sunday's tri-meet victory at Towson, when she also achieved a personal best 9.875 vault score. Her career-high 9.900 on beam occurred on Senior Day (March 6) at Lundholm Gym. In 2020, Kelley earned All-EAGL Second Team on beam and floor.

Gorgenyi was tabbed All-EAGL First Team on vault and bars for the second straight season and added all-around to her career accolades in 2021. She is tied for fifth in EAGL with a 9.850 vault NQS, which included hitting for a career-high 9.875 three times (Jan. 22, Feb. 21, March 6). The native of North Reading, Mass., is also tied for fifth on bars (9.863 NQS), which includes a personal-best-matching 9.875 on Feb. 21 and Feb. 26. Gorgenyi, who has competed all-around a team-leading six times, set a career high with a 39.250 on March 6 and is ranked No. 7 in EAGL with a 38.981 NQS.

Junior Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.) garnered All-EAGL First Team on beam and floor for the second year in a row. Lui's 9.894 NQS on beam equaled Kelley for No. 3 in the league, and her 9.875 NQS on floor tied for No. 4 in EAGL. Lui is a model of consistency as a three-event competitor who has missed only one meet in three seasons as a Wildcat. The Collegeville, Pa., native has scored a season-high 9.900 on beam three times, including each of the last two meets, and she twice scored a personal-best 9.900 on floor (Feb. 21, March 6).

Sophomore Alyssa Worthington (West Warwick, R.I.) made the most of her one event by earning All-EAGL First Team on beam with a 9.869 NQS (T-No. 5). The West Warwick, R.I., native matched her career high with a 9.900 on Feb. 21 and has averaged a 9.860 over her last three meets.

Senior co-captain Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa.) and classmate Kylie Kratchwell (Sewell, N.J.) were both recognized as All-EAGL Second Team competitors on bars. Diggan, a two-time All-EAGL First Teamer (2018-19) on bars, battled back from an injury that sidelined her for the majority of the 2020 season to boast a 9.819 NQS (No. 15) with a season-high 9.850 on Feb. 26. Kratchwell, a first-time All-EAGL honoree, set her personal best with a 9.850 on Sunday at Towson to up her NQS to 9.825 (No. 14).

Robyn Kelley and the 'Cats will look to make some noise in Saturday's 2021 EAGL Championship at Pitt
UNH EARNS NO. 3 SEED IN EAGL CHAMPIONSHIP
'Cats to compete in Session 1 (1 p.m.) on Saturday, March 20 at Pitt's Petersen Events Center
PITTSBURGH – The East Atlantic Gymnastics League announced Monday the seeds and the schedule for the 2021 EAGL Championship, hosted by the University of Pittsburgh, at the Petersen Events Center in two sessions Saturday, March 20 (ESPN3).
By virtue of its 195.719 NQS (No. 35 nationally), UNH is the No. 3 seed and will compete in Session 1 (1 p.m.) in a quad meet against No. 1 seed North Carolina State, No. 5 seed North Carolina and No. 7 seed George Washington.
Session 2 (7 p.m.) features No. 2 seed Towson, No. 4 seed Temple, No. 6 seed Pitt and No. 8 seed Long Island University in a quad meet.
The team with the highest score (ties included) will be crowned the 2021 EAGL Champions. UNH won the 2019 EAGL Championship at the Whittemore Center, and the 2020 EAGL Championship was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
