Jackson XC & Mittersill at Cannon Mountain to serve as venues March 10-13

This will be the sixth time UNH has hosted NCAAs, and the first time since 2017, when the University of Utah won the national championship. Middlebury College, the originally scheduled host school, is not participating in athletics this season.
Alpine events will take place at Cannon Mountain on Wednesday, March 10 and Friday, March 12. Nordic competition at Jackson XC is slated for Thursday, March 11, and Saturday, March 13. Per University COVID-19 safety protocols, no spectators will be permitted at either Cannon Mountain or Jackson XC.

The venues are one hour apart and the NCAA headquarters for the championships will be at the Omni Mount Washington Hotel, next to the Bretton Woods Ski Resort.
"When we heard that Middlebury College could not host as a staff, we decided to look into hosting," said Cory Schwartz, UNH's Coordinator of Skiing / Nordic head coach. "We felt it was important for Eastern Skiing (EISA) to keep the championships in the east if possible. We reached out to Cannon and Jackson, and they were excited to bring the best collegiate skiers in the country to New Hampshire. This will be our sixth time hosting, which shows the state and school can provide championship-level races."

"We have been working with the UNH administration, Cannon, Jackson and the NCAA to provide a safe week of training and racing," stated Schwartz. "Personally, this will be my last NCAAs as a host school, so to be able to provide one more NCAA Championship to collegiate skiing is very rewarding, especially during this year dealing with the pandemic."
