UNH and N.C. State each posted 4-1 league record
DURHAM, N.H. – The East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) announced Monday that the University of New Hampshire and North Carolina State are the inaugural EAGL co-regular season champions.
New this season, the league's six head coaches voted to designate five head-to-head matchups --one against each EAGL opponent-- to determine conference standings and give added significance to regular-season success.
UNH and N.C. State each went 4-1 in conference competition to share the 2020 regular-season title.
"We are very excited to be EAGL regular-season co-champions this year," UNH head coach Lindsey Bruck Ayotte said. "Our gymnasts have worked hard, and to see their consistency pay off throughout the year is amazing. It is great to make EAGL history and be the first to have this title and share it with N.C. State."
