Seven Gymnasts Earn 14 Combined All-EAGL Awards

Gorgenyi, Lui named All-EAGL First Team in multiple events
DURHAM, N.H.– Freshman Kylie Gorgenyi (North Reading, Mass.) and sophomore Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.) each earned All-EAGL First Team in multiple events to highlight seven University of New Hampshire gymnasts who received a total of 14 All-EAGL awards.
Gorgenyi was tabbed to the All-EAGL First Team on vault and uneven bars with a 9.820 National Qualifying Score (NQS) on each apparatus, good for the No. 7 ranking in each event. Lui recorded First Team honors on balance beam (9.825 NQS, No. 7) and floor exercise (9.840, T-8).
Other All-EAGL First Team accolades went to Alyssa Worthington (West Warwick, R.I.) on balance beam (9.865, No. 3), Emma Winer (Georgetown, Mass.) on floor (9.870, No. 3) and Riley Freehling (Southington, Conn.) in all-around (38.800, No. 4).
Winer garnered All-EAGL Second Team on vault (9.775, No. 14) and beam (9.805, T-11), while Freehling added Second Team honors on bars (9.780, T-13) and beam (9.795, T-14). Robyn Kelley (Wakefield, Mass.) capped her first season with All-EAGL Second Team on beam (9.795, T-14) and floor (9.795, T-16), and Ava Watkins (Cherry Hill, N.J.) completed her final season with Second Team on floor (9.800, 15).
"Although no one could have predicted how the end of the season unfolded, these young ladies have so much to be proud of," head coach Lindsey Bruck Ayotte said. "To have seven gymnasts get 14 All-EAGL honors is an incredible accomplishment."
Gymnasts feted for ALL-EAGL awards registered league rankings in the Top-8 (First Team) and No. 9-16 (Second Team), including ties.
UNH shared the inaugural EAGL regular-season championship with North Carolina State, with each team posting a 4-1 record. The Wildcats defeated the Wolfpack in the only head-to-head matchup, 195.150-194.950, at N.C. State on Feb. 15.The Wildcats were ranked 41st nationally with a 195.270 NQS when the season was halted March 12 due to the COVID-19 public health threat.
