'Cats Win Stick It For The Cure Quad Meet with Season-High 195.850

Gorgenyi takes first on vault and wins in first all-around appearance

DURHAM, N.H.– Emma Winer (Georgetown, Mass.) scored a personal-best 9.925 to top the podium on floor exercise, and Kylie Gorgenyi (North Reading, Mass.) registered two first-place scores and three career-high scores to lead the UNH gymnastics team to a season-high 195.850 in Saturday night's Stick It for the Cure quad-meet triumph against West Virginia, George Washington and Brown at Lundholm Gym.

UNH (7-2, 3-0 EAGL) improved its team score for the sixth consecutive meet to top West Virginia (195.075), George Washington (192.900) and Brown (191.300).

Gorgenyi finished first on vault (9.825), tied for second on uneven bars (9.775), set a personal best on balance beam (9.750, T-8^th), set a career high on floor exercise (9.800, T-5^th) and won her first career all-around appearance (39.150).

"Tonight was our best meet yet," head coach Lindsey Bruck Ayotte said. "This team really had each other's backs and I am so proud of them. Kylie Gorgenyi wasn't supposed to be in the all-around tonight, but she stepped up and did an amazing job for the team. I really feel like each one improved on something from last weekend and had great energy. Couldn't be prouder of them!"

Other Wildcat event wins went to Riley Freehling (Southington, Conn.) on bars (9.825) and Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.) on beam (9.825).

First Rotation – Vault
• Gorgenyi headlined the vault lineup for the fifth straight meet with an event-winning 9.825, which marked her fourth vault victory of her freshman season. Winer equaled her season's best score (9.775, T-4^th) for the second straight meet, and Mariella Miele (Basking Ridge, N.J.) tied a career high while Lexi Calandra (Suffern, N.Y.) set a personal best with matching marks of 9.750 to share eighth with three others.

Second Rotation – Uneven Bars
• Freehling's season-high 9.825 made it back-to-back bar victories to start February. Clare Hampford (Trumbull, Conn.) tied her personal best with a 9.775 to equal Lui (season high), Gorgenyi and six others for second place.

• Lui topped the podium with a 9.825, followed immediately be Freehling and Robyn Kelley (Wakefield, Mass.), each of home scored a 9.800 for co-second place honors.

Fourth Rotation – Floor Exercise
• A true team effort resulted in a 49.250 to seal the victory. Winer's career performance was supported by Lui, who tied her personal best (9.875) for second place, followed by Ava Watkins(Cherry Hill, N.J.) and GWU's Cydney Crasa, who scored a 9.850 to tie for third. Gorgenyi established a personal-best 9.800 for a share of fifth place three others, including Freehling.
