DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire field hockey program, led by head coach Robin Balducci, announced that three recruits signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday to join the Wildcat program for the Fall 2021 season.
The newest members of the UNH field hockey family are Elsa Goldsberry (Lake Bluff, Ill.), Ella Pratt (Greenwood Village, Colo.) and Macey White (Sandwich, Mass.).
"We are really excited about these three student-athletes joining our program next fall," Balducci said. "All three young women come from top club programs that compete at a high level, which will allow them to impact our program right away."
Goldsberry is a senior at Lake Forest High School, where the field hockey season has been moved to the spring. As a junior in 2019, the 5-foot-9 goalkeeper garnered All-State First Team and All-Conference First Team honors. Pratt played on the Denver Field Hockey Club team and also lettered in swimming at Cherry Creek.
White is a senior and five-year field hockey letterwinner at Sandwich High School. As a senior captain in 2020, the 5-4 midfielder/forward led Sandwich to a league championship. White is a three-time Atlantic Coast All-League First Team honoree. She was the team's leading scorer as a freshman and sophomore, and was the Atlantic League scoring champion as a junior. White's other accolades include 2018 Boston Globe All-Scholastic Team.
White played club on the Northeast Elite team, where she competed at the National Indoor Tournament in 2019 and 2020 and was a Regional Cup champion in '20. She also lettered in both ice hockey and lacrosse at Sandwich.
These three student-athletes join a UNH field hockey program that advanced to the America East Championship tournament for the 13th consecutive year in 2019. The 2019 conference Rookie of the Year was a UNH Wildcat, and the 'Cats defeated two nationally-ranked teams in '19.
