Freshman scored personal-best 9.900 on balance beam at West Virginia on Jan. 26

Worthington, who led UNH's season-high beam score (49.150), was the lone Wildcat to win an individual event in the tri-meet against the now 24th-ranked Mountaineers and Temple at WVU Coliseum. The native of West Warwick, R.I., has improved her beam score all four meets and is ranked fifth in EAGL with an average score of 9.781 on that apparatus.
"Alyssa stepped up on beam with a beautiful set on Sunday, which is a direct reflection of the work she puts into the gym each practice," head coach Lindsey Bruck Ayotte said. "We are proud of her for winning this award and excited she was recognized for her contributions to our team's success."
The Wildcats registered a season-high score of 195.125 to defeat Temple (191.925) and finish runner-up to WVU (196.025).
