Alpine Records Four Top-10 Finishes on Day 1 of UVM Carnival

STOWE & CRAFTSBURY, Vt. – Four University of New Hampshire alpine skiers –including three on the men's side—posted Top-10 results in giant slalom to help lead the Wildcats to fourth place overall on Day 1 of the Vermont Carnival.
At Mount Mansfield, Patrick Kenney (Hingham, Mass.) notched third place, Will Bruneau-Bouchard (Quebec City, Quebec) claimed sixth and Crowley Gentile (Greenland, N.H.) crossed the line in eighth place to lead the UNH men's alpine team to a runner-up finish (114 points) in GS to Middlebury (122).
Lisa Olsson (Stockholm, Sweden) headlined the women's GS with a seventh-place finish to lead the Wildcats to third place in that race.
At Craftsbury, Anders Sonnesyn (Minneapolis, Minn.) took fifth place in the men's classic sprint, and Lucinda Anderson (Golden Valley, Minn.) was the top-scoring Wildcat in the women's classic sprint.
