Wildcat seniors compete in separate quad meets Friday at University of Georgia
ATHENS, Ga. – University of New Hampshire senior gymnasts Nicole O'Leary (Newtown, Conn.) and Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) will each compete in the second round of the NCAA Gymnastics Athens Regional at the University of Georgia's Stegeman Coliseum on Friday.
O'Leary will compete on vault in the 2 p.m. quad meet that features No. 8 Georgia, No. 9 Kentucky, Missouri and Iowa State. The All-EAGL First Team gymnast scored a 9.750 on vault to tie for third place in Thursday's first-round loss to North Carolina State. O'Leary is scheduled to compete in the first rotation immediately following the host Bulldogs' rotation.
Danielle Mulligan performs her dismount in her winning bar routine Thursday, April 4, vs N.C. State
Mulligan, who went 39.075 in all-around to place third in Thursday's meet against the Wolfpack, will compete in AA during Friday night's 7 p.m. quad meet that includes No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 16 California, Maryland and N.C. State. EAGL's three-time reigning uneven bar champion, who topped the podium with a 9.850 on bars Thursday, will follow the Wolfpack's rotation order (UB, BB, FX, V).
The top two teams from each respective NCAA Regional Second Round quad meet will advance to Saturday night's 7 p.m. Regional Championship quad meet (7 p.m., ESPN3). O'Leary will advance if she has the highest vault score among individual gymnasts not on an advancing team. Mulligan will similarly move on to Saturday if she registers the highest all-around score from gymnasts not on an advancing team.
