
Lui Lauded as EAGL Rookie of the Week

BALTIMORE – Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.), a freshman on the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team, was honored as the EAGL Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
Lui won two individual events and set two career highs to help UNH record a season-high team score of 196.175 in a win against Yale University on March 8 at Lundholm Gym.
In her first event of the night, Lui recorded a personal-best 9.800 on uneven bars. She followed that with a first-place score or 9.875 on balance team, and ended the competition with a career-best and first-place effort of 9.875 on floor exercise.
This is Lui's second Rookie of the Week award and third conference weekly award overall. She was also named top rookie Feb. 19 and honored as the Specialist of the Week on Feb. 12.
UNH has recorded 10 consecutive wins and is 16-2 overall, including 9-0 at home.
Next Up – Towson 5 Meet
New Hampshire concludes the regular season March 17 (2 p.m.) at Towson University. In addition to the host Tigers, UNH will compete against George Washington University, University of Maryland and University of Pittsburgh.

Tickets are on sale now for the 2019 EAGL Championship, presented by The Mall at Fox Run, slated for Saturday, March 23 (2 p.m.) at the Whittemore Center.
The Wildcats will take on league rivals George Washington, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh and Towson in their quest to win their third EAGL championship and first since capturing the title in front of their fans at the Whitt in 2014.
