UNH Gymnastics’ Lui and Winer Set Career Highs in Quad Meet

Wildcats place second at George Washington
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.) scored a personal-best 9.925 on balance beam, and Emma Winer (Georgetown, Mass.) earned a career high 9.750 on vault to help lead the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team to victories over Yale (194.050) and William & Mary (189.925), and a second place finish to George Washington (195.400) with a team score of 194.925, in Friday night's quad-meet at Charles E. Smith Center.
Lui took first place on beam, and Winer shared third place with four competitors on vault.
Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.), who posted a 9.825 on floor exercise to share second with Winer, tied for first on bars (9.875).

•Wildcat stars from the past return to Lundholm to cheer on the 2019 Wildcats in their penultimate home meet of the regular season. Plus, special promotions to thank 'Cat gymnastics fans for their passionate support will be interspliced among the performances of many of the NCAA's top gymnasts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Rotation 1 – Uneven Bars (48.900)
• The Wildcats opened with a 48.900 on bars. Mulligan capped the event with a team-leading 9.875, sharing first place with Yale's Jessica Wang. Riley Freehling (Southington, Conn.) scored a 9.775, while Ava Watkins (Cherry Hill, N.J.), Lui and Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa.) received a 9.750.
Rotation 2 – Balance Beam (48.575)
• Lui, the anchor, closed the event with an impressive 9.925 performance to sit atop the podium. Freehling and Hannah Baddick (Gettysburg, Pa.) helped the 'Cats to team score of 48.575, earning a 9.725 and a 9.700, respectively.
Rotation 3 – Floor Exercise (49.000)
• Winer and Mulligan tied for second, alongside George Washington's Cydney Crasa, with a 9.825. The Wildcats finished second on floor by 0.075 to George Washington (49.075).
Rotation 4 – Vault (48.450)
• UNH concluded the meet on vault with a strong start from Winer (9.750, T-3rd) to set a career high. Erin Carroll (Kingston, N.H./ 9.700) shared fourth with Olivia Zona from George Washington. UNH place second to George Washington (48.675) on vault.
Alexandra Zois from George Washington took first in all-around (39.300).
