Hayden Barile '96 Hired as Alpine Ski Assistant Coach

Two-time All-American joins head coach and former teammate Brian Blank’s staff
DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire 13th-year head alpine ski coach Brian Blank '95 announced the hiring of former two-time All-American skier Hayden Barile '96 as assistant alpine coach for the men's and women's teams.
"Hayden was a tremendous skier and even better teammate when we competed together here at UNH," said Blank. "Getting someone of his caliber who can relate to student-athletes will benefit our program in numerous ways."
Barile earned NCAA All-American distinction in 1994 and 1995, including a runner-up slalom finish in the '95 NCAAs hosted by UNH. He compiled 19 Top-10 finishes in EISA Carnival races between 1991-95 and was named to the All-East Team in 1994.
"It's great to be back and given the opportunity to work with a group of hard-working, talented athletes," said Barile. "My experience as a member of the ski team helped shape and imprint a mindset that enabled me to contribute athletically, academically and professionally in and outside of UNH. I can't imagine a better place, and group, to come back to. I'm really looking forward to help contribute to our growth as a team."
The UNH ski team will be led by two-time All-American Emma Woodhouse (Collingwood, Ontario) and returning All-Americans Patrick Kenney (Hingham, Mass.) and Lisa Olsson (Stockholm, Sweden) when it opens the 2020 EISA season at the Harvard Carnival on Jan. 17-18.
