DURHAM, N.H.. – Monmouth University scored four goals in the fourth quarter to record a 5-1 victory against the University of New Hampshire in Friday afternoon's America East field hockey matchup at Memorial Field.

UNH is now 5-5 overall and 0-1 in America East. Monmouth is 6-4, 1-0.

Jemma Woods (Frimley, England) recorded four saves and yielded five goals in 52 minutes, 42 seconds. Rachel Simkevich (Londonderry, N.H.) played the final 7:18 and did not face a shot on goal.

Monmouth's Kate O'Hogan was credited with four saves. Annick de Lange (two goals, one assist), Aylin Aufenacker (2g) and Yasmin Pratt (2a) led the Hawks' attack.

UNH returns to action Sunday, Oct. 6 (12 p.m.) at UMass.

1st QUARTER

Monmouth took a 1-0 lead at 9:10. From the right side of the circle, Pratt's centering pass was corralled by Aufenacker, who pivoted and fired a shot into the cage from 12 yards.

2nd QUARTER

The shots were even, 2-2, in a scoreless second stanza.

3rd QUARTER

UNH leveled the score, 1-1, at 37:04. Bloem van den Brekel (Eindhoven, Netherlands) drove deep on the right side and slipped a pass in front, where Isabelle Danahy (Chelmsford, Mass.) one-timed a shot for her second goal in as many games.

4th QUARTER

Aufenacker and van Lange scored goals 53 seconds apart -- at 46:43 and 47:36 -- to quickly transform a tie game into a 3-1 advantage.

Ireen Frenken and van Lange scored in an 80-second span to push the margin to 5-1.
