MARIANI RECEIVES WEEKLY CONFERENCE AWARD

UNH freshman forward Ava Mariani was named America East Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
Mariani set the tone in UNH's 4-0 win at Bryant University (Sept. 27) with a goal 68 seconds into the game. She intercepted a pass at the 25, advanced to the end line, slipped past the goalkeeper and shot the ball into the cage.

UNH vs. MONMOUTH

Friday will be the first matchup between the UNH and Monmouth field hockey programs.

UNH vs. UMASS

New Hampshire has an 18-19-2 lifetime record against UMass and that includes last year's 3-2 season-opening victory at Memorial Field. | Recap | Box
UNH has won four straight, six of the last seven meetings and 9 of 12 dating back to the 2001 season.
Six of the last eight matches have been decided in overtime.
UMass' most recent win in this series was 2-1 in OT in August 2012.

New Hampshire had a five-game winning streak spanning Sept. 8-27 that was highlighted by a 3-2 home win against #18 Stanford.

Finn Caron's four-game point streak ended last Sunday at 18^th-ranked Harvard. She had five goals and three assists (13 points) in that span.

Finn Caron leads the team in goals (eight), assists (three), points (19) and shots on goal (17).
Kayla Sliz ranks second in goals (three) and points (eight); she is tied for second n assists (two) and has a team-high 23 shots.
Isabelle Danahy and Maura Verleg also have two assists.
Nicky Bajus and Erin Malone both have one defensive save.
Freshman goalkeeper Jemma Woods has a 5-2 record with a 2.14 GAA and .686 save percentage in eight games (seven starts).

CONFERENCE CALL

Finn Caron is ranked No. 3 in America East in both goals per game (0.889) and points per game (2.11). She is also ninth in shots on goal per game (1.89).
Bloem van den Brekel is No. 4 in shots per game (3.50).

BALDUCCI BIO

This is the 29^th season as UNH head coach for Robin Balducci.
She is the program's all-time winningest coach with 285 career victories
Balducci was inducted into the NFHCA Hall of Fame on Jan. 5, 2017.
She was inducted into UNH's Hall of Fame in 1998 and was also part of the 1985 NCAA national championship women's lacrosse team that was enshrined in 1994.
Balducci is a six-time America East Coach of the Year (1998, 2000-10-11-12-13).
