Mulligan Named EAGL Gymnast of Week

Senior won bars, beam and set personal best in all-around at Yale
BALTIMORE – The East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) announced Tuesday that Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.), a senior for the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team, was named Gymnast of the Week for her performance in Sunday afternoon's dual-meet victory over Yale at the John J. Lee Amphitheater.
Mulligan posted a personal-best 39.275 all-around score that helped UNH to its fifth straight victory this season, as well as her third all-around win in four meets. The senior scored a first-place 9.900 on uneven bars and balance beam. The Farmingdale, N.Y., native's first-place finish on bars marked her third victory in the event this season. Mulligan also placed third on vault with a score of 9.725 to take four podium results in the meet.
The Wildcats have tabbed weekly EAGL awards for three consecutive weeks. On Jan. 15, Erin Carroll (Kingston, N.H.) earned Specialist of the Week and, on Jan. 22, Emma Winer (Georgetown, Mass.) and Hannah Baddick (Gettysburg, Pa.) were named Specialist of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

•UNH returns to Lundholm Gym for their next home meet Sunday, Feb. 3 (1 p.m.) against EAGL rival George Washington. The 'Cats will don their special pink leotards and help raise money in the battle against breast cancer.
