Mulligan tops podium on bars, beam and AA in Wildcats’ fifth straight victory
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) scored a 9.900 on uneven bars and balance beam to win each event en route to a personal-best 39.275 all-around score to power the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team to Sunday afternoon's 195.375-194.125 dual meet victory over Yale at the John J. Lee Amphitheater.
It was a season-high score for the Wildcats, who improved to 5-1 with their fifth straight victory.
Mulligan, who has won all-around in three of four meets this season, added third place on vault (9.725) for a total of four podium results.
Nicole O'Leary (Newtown, Conn.) and Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa.) shared first place on vault (9.750), and the Wildcats scored their top marks of the season on bars (48.925) and floor exercise (48.975).
"I am really proud of this team for stepping up," said head coach Gail Goodspeed. "We had a few mistakes, but the next people in the lineup really stepped up and fought for every routine. We had a great performance but I know we still have more in us!"

Diggan (9.750, sixth) and Ava Watkins (Cherry Hill, N.J./9.700, eighth) each scored a season high.
Second Rotation – Vault (48.600)
•O'Leary made it two straight first-place finishes on vault with a 9.750, which tied Diggan atop the podium and ignited a Wildcat lineup that swept the top four scores. Mulligan finished third and Emma Winer (Georgetown, Mass.), making her collegiate vault debut, led off and set the tone with a powerful 9.700 for fourth place.
Third Rotation – Floor Exercise (48.975)
•On floor exercise, the 'Cats showed impressive skills in hitting 4-for-4 in E tumbling skills. Diggan led the way with a 9.850 (season high) to tie for second place with Yale's Kiarra Alleyne. Watkins placed fourth (9.825), Winer earned a share of fifth (9.800) and Lui scored a 9.750 in her first career floor performance to share seventh with Mulligan.
