Nine ’Cats Earn All-EAGL Honors

Four gymnasts were named to the All-EAGL First Team while five were named to the All-EAGL Second Team
DURHAM, N.H. – Nicole O'Leary (vault), Danielle Mulligan (bars, beam), Lauren Diggan (bars), and Casey Lauter (beam) were all named to the All-EAGL First Team, while Riley Freehling (bars, beam), Makenzie Kerouac (bars), Courtney Bondanza (beam), Lia Breeden (floor), and Danielle Doolin (floor, all-around) earned All-EAGL Second Team honors.
First Team All-EAGL lists the top eight gymnasts (including ties) from the eleven-week regular season. Second Team All-EAGL lists gymnasts ranked nine through sixteen (including ties) from the regular season. Final rankings from the 2018 regular season were released on Monday, March 19th.
Both Mulligan (bars) and Lauter (beam) ranked first in the conference in their respective events. Mulligan finished the season with an RQS on bars of 9.895 while Lauter posted a 9.910 RQS on beam. Mulligan also finished in seventh on beam (9.860 RQS).
Rounding out the All-EAGL First Team for UNH, Diggan finished second on bars in the conference (9.870 RQS), while O'Leary ranked fifth on vault (9.850 RQS).
Freehling, who earned All-EAGL second team honors on two events, ranked 12th on beam (9.825 RQS) and 13th on bars (9.815 RQS). Doolin was named to the All-EAGL second team for both floor (9.845 RQS) and all-around (38.415 RQS).
The three other Wildcats that earned All-EAGL Second Team each were named for one event. Kerouac ranked 15th on bars with an RQS of 9.800, Bondanza tied for 15th on beam (9.810 RQS), and Breeden tied for 15th on floor (9.830 RQS).
UNH competes Saturday, March 24 at the EAGL Championship (2 p.m.) in Towson, Md. The Wildcats are currently ranked fourth in the conference and 34th in the nation (195.575 RQS).
The top 36 teams in the nation will qualify for the NCAA Regional Championships, which will be announced Monday, March 26.
UNH is slightly ahead of No. 35 Central Michigan (195.705), No. 36 Iowa (195.680), No. 37 Arizona (195.630), No. 38 Utah State (195.575) and No. 39 North Carolina (195.515) in a wide-open race to Regionals.
