'Cats Place League-Leading 17 Members on EAGL All-Scholastic Team

Four-time recipients Breeden, Lauter and Mahoney Headline List
BALTIMORE – Led by four-time honorees Lia Breeden (York, Pa.), Casey Lauter (Northport, N.Y.) and Elizabeth Mahoney (Hanson, Mass.), the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team placed an East Atlantic Gymnastics League-leading 17 members on the 2018 EAGL All-Scholastic Team.
"Congratulations to our EAGL All-Scholastic gymnasts who define what it means to be true student-athletes," said head coach Gail Goodspeed. "They demonstrate the same commitment and determination that makes them successful gymnasts to their academic pursuits in a wide variety of majors."
Senior Marissa Toci (Mount Laurel, N.J.) joins juniors Courtney Bondanza (Buffalo, N.Y.), Erin Carroll (Kingston, N.H.), Danielle Doolin (Medford Lakes, N.J.), Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Mimi Traore (Lowell, Mass.) as three-time All-Scholastic team members.
Two-time representatives include juniors Brittany Capozzi (Derry, N.H.) and Nicole O'Leary (Newtown, Conn.) along with sophomore Ava Watkins (Cherry Hill, N.J.).
First-time EAGL All-Scholastic Team Wildcats are junior Juliana Belar (Lake Hopatcong, N.J.), sophomores Lexi Calandra (Suffern, N.Y.) and Emma Winer (Georgetown, Mass.), and freshmen Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa.) and Clare Hampford (Trumbull, Conn.).

In order to be honored as an All-Scholastic Team member, a gymnast must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or above for the 2017 calendar year GPA. Freshmen are eligible with Fall 2017 semester grades only.

The 33rd-ranked UNH gymnastics team closes the regular season with a dual meet at the University of Illinois at Chicago on Sunday, March 18 (3 p.m.). The Wildcats head to the 2018 EAGL Championship, hosted by Towson University, on Saturday, March 24 (2 p.m.).
