Holmes claims 31st place in men’s 20K freestyle Saturday at Howelsen Hill

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – Peter Holmes (Tahoe City, Calif.) placed 31^st in the men's 20K freestyle race Saturday at Howelsen Hill, and the University of New Hampshire ski team finished in 11th place at the 2018 NCAA Skiing Championships, hosted by the University of Colorado.

Holmes, who was the only UNH Nordic skier competing at NCAAs, finished in a time of 57 minutes, 19.4 seconds.

The University of Denver won the NCAA Championship with 604 points, followed by Colorado (563), Dartmouth (448.5), Utah (385.5) and Vermont (330).

UNH finished with 108.5 points.
