UNH Football Enjoys 13% Attendance Increase in 2017

Wildcat Stadium Sets Records in Average and Overall Attendance in Second Year
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire Department of Athletics announced that Wildcat Stadium saw a 13-percent attendance increase from its inaugural season of UNH football, highlighted by the all-time largest crowd for a home opener (15,854) and largest on-campus crowd (22,135) in school history.
The Wildcats averaged 12,751 fans per home game in 2017, up from 11,108 last season. The overall attendance of 63,756 for five home dates eclipsed the regular-season attendance of 55,542 in 2016.
"In 2016, the amenities offered by brand new Wildcat Stadium coupled with our great football program aligned to shatter UNH attendance milestones across the board," said Jon Danos, executive athletic director. "To follow that up with another record-setting season is a testament to our staff's commitment to provide family-friendly entertainment in a terrific venue for a nationally-ranked team."

No. 16 UNH (7-3, 5-2 CAA) visits the University at Albany (3-7, 1-6) in the final game of the regular season Saturday, Nov. 18, at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed live on College Sports Live and can be heard on the Wildcat Sports Radio Network. With a victory, the Wildcats will be in a good position to secure an NCAA Division I FCS playoff berth for a nation-leading 14th consecutive season.
