LYME CENTER, N.H. & CRAFTSBURY COMMON, Vt. – The University of New Hampshire ski team competes in this weekend's Dartmouth Winter Carnival with alpine races scheduled for Dartmouth Skiway (Feb. 12-13) and Nordic races slated for Craftsbury Outdoor Center (Feb. 13).

Carnival Notes

Alpine, which had last week off from Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association competition, will race both days, while Nordic will only compete in classical races Saturday.
Nordic events will be held at Craftsbury for the second straight week; the men's 20K classic and women's 15K classic were originally scheduled for the Dartmouth XC Ski Center at Oak Hill.
Lisa Wedsjö (Saltsjöbaden, Sweden) is ranked No. 2 in the East in giant slalom, highlighted by her first career victory at the UVM Carnival on Jan. 29.
Phil Rivet (Saint-Lambert, Quebec) is No. 2 in men's GS, which includes his first career win at the Colby Carnival on Jan. 22.
Lizzie Gill (Bozeman, Mont.) is UNH's top women's Nordic performer with a No. 6 ranking; she is ranked fifth in classical racing.
Raleigh Goessling (Esko, Minn.) and Peter Holmes (Tahoe City, Calif.) are Nos. 9 and 10 in this week's EISA men's Nordic rankings. Goessling is No. 6 in classic, while Holmes is No. 8.
Senior Celine Guilmineau (Edwards, Colo.) is scheduled to make her season debut for the women's alpine team
