Skiing Heads to Dartmouth Carnival (Feb. 12-13)

LYME CENTER, N.H. & CRAFTSBURY COMMON, Vt. – The University of New Hampshire ski team competes in this weekend's Dartmouth Winter Carnival with alpine races scheduled for Dartmouth Skiway (Feb. 12-13) and Nordic races slated for Craftsbury Outdoor Center (Feb. 13).

Carnival Notes
- Alpine, which had last week off from Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association competition, will race both days, while Nordic will only compete in classical races Saturday.
- Nordic events will be held at Craftsbury for the second straight week; the men's 20K classic and women's 15K classic were originally scheduled for the Dartmouth XC Ski Center at Oak Hill.
- Lisa Wedsjö (Saltsjöbaden, Sweden) is ranked No. 2 in the East in giant slalom, highlighted by her first career victory at the UVM Carnival on Jan. 29.
- Phil Rivet (Saint-Lambert, Quebec) is No. 2 in men's GS, which includes his first career win at the Colby Carnival on Jan. 22.
- Lizzie Gill (Bozeman, Mont.) is UNH's top women's Nordic performer with a No. 6 ranking; she is ranked fifth in classical racing.
- Raleigh Goessling (Esko, Minn.) and Peter Holmes (Tahoe City, Calif.) are Nos. 9 and 10 in this week's EISA men's Nordic rankings. Goessling is No. 6 in classic, while Holmes is No. 8.
- Senior Celine Guilmineau (Edwards, Colo.) is scheduled to make her season debut for the women's alpine team
